President Blog

It is an honour and a privilege to pen myself for this special issue of Rotator as we celebrate the 63rd Charter Day of our esteemed Rotary Club of Poona North. On this special occasion, we reflect on the journey that has brought us together, the impact we've made on our community, and the enduring principles that guide us as Rotarians.
In the last 5 months, our club has made significant strides in our mission to make a positive impact on our communities. We have worked on every avenue that Rotary focuses on, and our collective efforts will be instrumental in fostering positive change. We have organized many projects and, engaged in volunteer activities, and collaborated with many like-minded organizations to further our humanitarian goals.
I am particularly proud of our projects dedicated to women's empowerment and our club is leaving no age group of women unattended – Project Ghar (For young orphan girls), Project Aaya training, and Project Dhaga (For empowering women by providing skill and employment opportunities), our signature global grant project Cow Donation (Empowering women plus pulling up their families from the tag of BPL). Through your dedication and hard work, we have been able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Looking ahead, our club has an exciting lineup of initiatives for the coming quarter. We will continue to support education and vocational training programs through our ‘Innovision 2023-24’, invest in healthcare infrastructure through Health ATM and telemedicine, and promote environmental sustainability through waste management awareness. By working together, we can create a lasting impact on our communities and contribute to the development of our great nation.
I want to thank each and every one of you including the Anns, Annas, and Annets for your unwavering commitment and passion. Your selflessness and dedication are what make our club such a force for good. Let us continue to strive for excellence and reach even greater heights in our pursuit of service above self.
Thank you, and here's to another year of service, fellowship, and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Happy Charter Day, and may our Rotary Club of Poona North continue to shine brightly for many years to come.
Yours in service,
Rtn Deepti Poojary
